1.0 RID CEUs, Professional Studies / 10 CRC Clock Hours. Course 1 provides professionals with essential information to improve test equity for deaf individuals, including an overview of key issues and terminology, what a fair test involves, and how accommodations can improve test equity for deaf students.

Participants in this course will...
  • develop a solid understanding of testing and accommodation terminology,
  • identify key issues to consider when administering tests to deaf individuals, 
  • identify accommodations to consider when administering tests to deaf individuals, 
  • identify key issues to consider when using an interpreter during testing, and 
  • identify key issues in interpreting test results for deaf individuals.
This course is pre-approved by RID CMP for 1.0 CEUs (professional studies). CEUs are submitted to RID on a monthly basis on behalf of qualified participants.  Participants can submit their member information at the end of the course. Participants will also be able to generate a certificate of completion for their own records.
